Nets with flame-retardant properties have the ability to extinguish themselves once the ignition source has been removed. Unlike most plastics, they do not continue to burn (material: polypropylene). As a result, fire cannot spread from flame retardant nets.

Flame-Retardant Nets That Meet All The Standards

German Institute for Standardisation Standard (DIN-Norm) 4102, the standard governing the fire behaviour of textiles, building materials and plastics, categorises these safety nets as flame-resistant in Group B1 due to their flame-retardant properties. The flame-retardant net is therefore categorised as self-extinguishing. The special safety nets are available in different material thicknesses and mesh sizes, depending on the intended use of the net.
