Increasingly, a key requirement for model aerodromes is that the flying area must be secured using suitable protective equipment. Our safety nets are a low-cost alternative to fixed fences. The large mesh size guarantees onlookers the necessary protection as well as a good view. Due to the flexibility of the material and to the force transmission through deformation, in the event of a crash, models hit a soft barrier rather than a rigid fence. This considerably increases a model’s chances of surviving the crash undamaged or with only slight damage.

The nets are fastened in a similar way to ball catch installations on sports grounds. The nets are, for example, simply threaded onto steel ropes stretched between the support posts, or can also be fastened to them using aids like small carabiner hooks or the like. Due to the small area exposed to the wind, no static calculations are necessary.
