Children are often unpredictable and therefore like climbing to heights that are actually off-limits for them. The safety nets that we produce specially for kindergartens and nurseries ensure that children are allowed to remain children. Particularly in smaller kindergarten rooms, raised play areas are often constructed to create enough space. Besides this, they accommodate children’s natural urge to play and climb. Although it is true that raised play areas and landings/galleries are secured by banisters or guardrails, one simply can’t emphasise safety enough here: children can stand on chairs and, due to the extra height, fall from the raised area – which is why a kindergarten safety net is necessary. In addition, if the gap between the guardrail struts exceeds 11 cm, this additional protection is also necessary. The net is installed vertically right up to the ceiling edge.

According to DGUV regulation 102-002, children's play areas where there is a risk of falling must be secured in a manner appropriate to their age. If it is to be expected that on elevated play levels, climbing and climbing possibilities can be added to the enclosure (e.g. stacks of mattresses, small tables, chairs, shelves), the fall protection should ideally be led up to the ceiling of the room. Such protection can be provided by tightly stretched nets. Our kindergarten nets meet the requirements of the DGUV and are designed for the potential loads in the kindergarten area. The comparatively small mesh sizes also prevent climbing on the construction.

The advantages of this mandatory extra protection are obvious: the net not only protects children from falling, but also prevents toys falling down and hitting other children on the head. An additional benefit is that it prevents undesirable climbing and mounting. A safety net for play areas also gives carers the assurance that their young charges are safe.
Your kindergarten safety net can only be made through joint teamwork. Your task is to measure the areas that need securing and to enter the data into our configurator. Our hard-wearing nets made of high-strength polypropylene have the small meshes required for this purpose and a border running all around. The material is 100% non-toxic for children.
