Conveyor belt safety nets are used to protect materials and goods on conveyor belts. The conveyor belt safety nets are thereby attached underneath and on the sides of conveyor belts or assembly lines to catch any goods that may fall off. You are thereby protecting not only materials, but also the personnel working on the conveyor belt.

Conveyor belts have for decades been an environmentally friendly, safe and effective means of transportation in mining and industry. Should something nevertheless go wrong and goods be thrown off, especially on curves, or fall if the conveyor belt happen to tilt, then conveyor belt safety nets can be installed underneath and next to the conveyor belt.
Compared to rigid metal meshes, nets have the advantage that objects have a soft landing, which minimises the damage. Thanks to the net’s intrinsic elasticity, nothing will get broken up to a certain mesh tensile strength. Depending on the model, this ranges from 800 N with a material thickness of 2.3 mm to 3200 N with a 5 mm thickness. The latter maximum tensile strength is predominantly suitable for heavy objects. Conversely, small and light goods are already caught by the 2.3 mm-thick model, in combination with a small mesh size.
High tenacity, knotless polypropylene has proved its worth as the best material for the safety net (which is available in different colors), and - thanks to its UV-resistant and weatherproof properties – performs extremely well not only in factories and warehouses, but also over many years of outdoor use.
However, conveyor belt safety nets only protect people and materials in the event that goods are thrown off the belt. They are not suitable for protecting the drive rollers or carrier rollers: only a metal mesh cladding can help here! At all events, please observe the safety guidelines for conveyor belts.
