I made a light frame out of (4) aluminum strips (25x2mm). To do this, I drilled holes in the corners of the strips and connected them with a cable tie.
I pushed the strips alternately through the mesh of the net and only then connected the corners with the cable ties.

This cat net is made of very durable material. It's kind of like a volleyball net and withstands the occasional strong winds I have in my area without warping. It doesn't obstruct views, yet provides safety for my cat when he's on the second floor porch.

The nets were quickly attached using cable ties. I managed this easily on my own (despite a length of almost 5 meters on the longest section).
