Heron Net by the m² (Custom-Made)

The heron net was the perfect size for our individual requirements and was easy to install. As you can see in the picture, it is almost invisible. The 10x10cm mesh is big enough for all the leaves to pass through and not form a barrier for snow in winter. So perfect. I definitely don't recommend using smaller mesh, because otherwise the leaves will get caught in the net and when it snows and the weight of the net exceeds the load-bearing capacity, meaning the net could tear and the herons would come back to the pond.
