This robust safety net is stretched between a carriageway and the overhead lines, cable systems or technical installations running above it. It is designed to reliably catch falling cables, wires or small components and prevent them from falling uncontrollably onto the traffic area below.

The cable safety net is particularly suitable for use above roads, motorways, access roads, traffic routes and operational areas. The extensive bracing creates an additional layer of protection beneath the overhead lines. This provides better protection for vehicles, people and adjacent facilities against falling objects.

Robust Design for Demanding Applications

The safety net is made from durable, weather-resistant plastic and is designed for long-term outdoor use. The knotless construction ensures even load distribution and prevents annoying, protruding knots.

Depending on the structural conditions, the net can be individually adapted to the existing structure and made to measure. The reinforced edge all round allows for even and secure attachment to steel structures, scaffolding, suspension cables or other suitable anchor points.

Material

The net has a border measuring approx. 9 mm in thickness all around (see sample picture). An additional rope is sewn/linked to the border mesh. The border gives the net a neat outer edge on all sides and simultaneously ensures stable, stress-resistant anchorage points. The border and all seams are executed in the same color as the net. In addition, fall safety nets are equipped with a 12 mm-thick polysteel rope (30 kN), which is firmly attached to the border.

The safety net consists of woven, deep-dyed polypropylene filament yarn, which is a highly tearproof and stable synthetic fibre. Thanks to the knotless weave, which is no less stable than a knotted connection, the net keeps its shape perfectly. The material is of course 100% non-toxic, and contact with mucus membranes (mouth, eyes) is completely safe as well. Thanks to their weather-resistance and UV-stability, our safety nets are suitable for both outdoor and indoor use.

As the dimensions and fixing options vary depending on the location, the cable safety net is manufactured to suit the specific installation situation. In addition to length and width, the mesh size, yarn thickness, colour and edge finish can also be selected to suit the specific project.

To ensure a safe design, the local conditions, the expected loads and the intended fixing structure must be taken into account. Installation and structural assessment should be carried out by suitably qualified specialist contractors or specialist designers.
