Description
DEKRA

Custom-made safety net for securing light domes in conformity with EN 1263-1 and EN 795:1996. Enter the desired length and width into the appropriate fields. The surface area, weight and price of the net will then be automatically calculated and shown.

Please note: The Dekra test for light dome safety nets only applies to nets with lateral lengths between 2.00 and 3.00 m. All nets with at least one side length outside of this area have not been tested and are only manufactured on the basis of the test.

 

Since a lack of fall protection measures at light domes and skylights can frequently lead to serious injuries or even fatal accidents, movable protection facilities like safety nets are ever more important. Our light dome nets offer reliable protection for persons engaged in maintenance work and snow-clearing work in winter.

 

Installation

The net has to be placed over the complete light dome frame for mounting. The belt strap has then to be contracted under the frame so far that the complete net construction can no longer slide upwards over the frame. The dimensions given are the dimensions of the net. The light dome net must be selected correspondingly larger than the size of the light dome frame.

The skylight net is suitable for securing one person. When used as a fall protection, a professionally mounted skylight frame with overhang is a prerequisite. When used as a stop mechanism, a professionally mounted skylight frame with overhang and finished sealing is required.

 

Material

The net has a border measuring approx. 9 mm in thickness all around (see sample picture). An additional rope is sewn/linked to the border meshes. The border and all seams are executed in the same color as the net.

In addition, the light dome net is equipped with a 35 mm-thick belt strap with ratchet (permitted tractive force: 2000 daN). The tension belt is pulled together under the protruding parts of the light dome frame, thus providing stress-resistant anchorage for the net.

The safety net consists of woven, deep-dyed polypropylene filament yarn. This is a highly tearproof and stable synthetic fibre. Thanks to the knotless weave, which is no less stable than a knotted connection, the net keeps its shape perfectly.

The material is of course 100% non-toxic, and contact with mucus membranes (mouth, eyes) is completely safe as well. Thanks to their weather-resistance and UV-stability, our safety nets are suitable for both outdoor and indoor use.
