The High Demands on the Hay Net

The installation of a simple hay net can improve the health of your horses. Not only does it curtail the problem of trodden-on hay, but also due to the net the animals consume their feed more carefully and gorge less. However, it is important to note that the hayrack net should be mounted so as to be easily accessible, e.g. at the level of the animals’ heads between horse-stall beams or trees. But be careful here: it is a mistake to rely solely on hay nets for feeding. You should also offer some mixed feed and provide easily accessible roughage.

Our hay nets are less complicated to handle: the highly tear proof, weather-resistant polypropylene raschel fabric is knotless and chafe-resistant. This is important in order to easily withstand the horse’s molars. Once your horses have grasped the basics of pulling out hay, you’ll never have to worry about them biting right through the polypropylene net.

However, please use only high-quality, long-stemmed hay for feeding so that the animals can easily pull at the hay.
