Fastening Cord 3 mm - Available by the Meter

My order for the fastening line (3 mm, dark green) was to my complete satisfaction. Thank you for that.
I ordered several hundred meters and did not find any manufacturing defects; the goods delivered were perfect.
After cutting the fastening line, I slightly melted the ends with a lighter so that the rope did not fray. This worked very well. As far as I could tell, the line melts/burns as long as it is exposed to the flame, but then goes out again, at least if I hold the end of the rope over the lighter for just a short time. The melted areas sometimes turn black. The smell when it melts reminds me of a burning wax candle.
The fastening line seems to be very tear-resistant and also somewhat resistant to abrasion. For my purposes, namely attaching cat nets, the strength is easily sufficient. So far, no cat has bitten through the rope. :-)
My fastening line (dark green) is dyed the same color throughout. This means that if you cut it, the color remains completely intact even in the cut area.
If I tie a normal knot (overhand knot) in the line and pull it tight, then it can definitely be opened again. In order to make a secure final knot that won't come undone, I therefore tie several knots and fuse the rope end.
The surface of my fastening line is smooth and not fibrous.

Die Befestigungsleine erscheint mir sehr reißfest und auch einigermaßen resistent gegen Abrieb zu sein. Für meine Zwecke, nämlich die Befestigung von Katzennetzen, reicht die Festigkeit jedenfalls locker aus. Bislang hat noch keine Katze das Seil durchgebissen. :-)
Meine Befestigungsleine (dunkelgrün) ist durch und durch in derselben Farbe eingefärbt. Das heißt, wenn man sie abschneidet, bleibt die Farbe auch im Schnittbereich voll erhalten.
Wenn ich einen ganz normalen Knoten (Überhandknoten) in die Leine mache und ihn festziehe, dann lässt er sich durchaus wieder öffnen. Um einen sicheren Abschluss-Knoten zu machen, der nicht mehr aufgeht, mache ich daher mehrere Knoten und verschmelze das Seilende.
Meine Befestigungsleine ist an der Oberfläche glatt und nicht faserig.
Ich habe wie gesagt dunkelgrüne Befestigungsleine bestellt und hätte mir darunter einen etwas dunkleren, noch matteren Farbton vorgestellt. In der Praxis passt die Farbe jedoch gut für meine Anwendung."

We have been looking for a way to provide optimal sun protection for our terrace for a long time. We have finally found one at Safetynet365. I used the fastening line in combination with a cat protection net ordered here, as well as cable ties from this shop to attach my cat protection net to the balcony. All products are very high quality and I am glad that I decided against a cheap net from Amazon and instead invested a little more money in the safety of my cat and the balcony.

What I found a little unfortunate was that it was not clearly communicated that you have to order the line in addition to the net, or that it was not directly indicated how long the line had to be to fit the net. I had to calculate everything myself and was unsure until the delivery whether the line would be long enough (or much too long). Luckily everything was enough and there was still some line left over. But it's better to have a little left over than too little :)

My net was 11x3 meters and my line was 35 meters.
