Chicken Fence made of Sturdy Material

Our poultry fences are made of braided, through-dyed polypropylene filament yarn. This is a high-strength and stable synthetic fibre. Thanks to the knotless weave, which is just as stable as a knotted connection, the chicken fence remains stable in shape at all times.

The material is of course 100 % non-toxic and contact with mucous membranes (mouth, eyes) is also completely harmless - making the material ideal for working with people and animals. All our fence nets are both weather-resistant and UV-stable and can be used both indoors and outdoors.

Recommended Mesh Size for a Poultry Fence

Our fences for chickens and poultry have a small mesh size of 30 x 30 mm. These narrow meshes not only prevent the fenced animals from escaping (even with very small poultry species), but also protect the animals from uninvited guests. At best, predators such as foxes can be prevented from entering the chicken coop or enclosure by a sturdy and narrow fence - the fence does not necessarily have to be electrified for this. The sturdy material provides sufficient protection in many cases and prevents the fence from tearing even under high loads. This also prevents the chickens from escaping, for example through holes or damage to the fence.

With a height of around 1.60 m, the fence is also high enough to prevent the animals from escaping due to low fluttering flight.

Install Poultry Fencing Correctly

To ensure reliable protection from the chicken fence, it must be installed correctly. When setting it up, make sure that the posts are firmly in the ground and that the fence is sufficiently taut. If this is not the case, there is a risk that the fence may be unstable or that animals may get caught in parts of the net that are too loose. You can secure the poultry fence sufficiently using the ground anchors and the tensioning line provided.
